WYOMING HS ALL STATE MARCHING BAND

Cheyenne Parade – July 18 and 19, 2008

We will be staying at Storey Gym. We have included a map of Cheyenne on the reverse side of this letter. If you are coming to Cheyenne from the north on I 25, take exit 11 and go east on Pershing Blvd. After about 14 blocks you will drive right by Storey gym. If you are coming into Cheyenne from the south, drive north to exit 11 on I 25 and follow the same instructions.

Please arrive early enough so that rehearsals may begin at 3:00 pm., Friday, July 18th. Please eat a good lunch before you arrive. At approximately 6:00 we will bus to the mall for a fast food meal on your own. Rehearsals will continue after our return to Storey Gym. A pancake breakfast will be provided for us on Saturday morning before the Parade.

The parade begins at 9:30 am, Saturday July 19th. We will be the last entry of the parade. We may possibly do a short stand up performance at the State Capitol Building immediately after the parade. (We do not know for sure at this time). From there we will march back to Storey Gym. Band members will be released after our post parade meeting. Est. time of dismissal, 12:30 pm.

Reminders

Your uniforms should always be clean. Pants should now be hemmed and all of your uniform parts (inc. hat) should be labeled with your name.
White underwear and tall white socks. (no little ankle socks..remember those blisters?

Clean your shoes after each parade. (Please get all of the “brown stuff” off.)

Please practice your music and work on your memorization.
Cleaning the gym this week will be the percussion section. (Plan to stay a little longer after dismissal.)

Trip Payments- Your final payment is due on August 1st. If you could bring it to Rock Springs it would be appreciated. We currently have 10 trip packages available out of Denver. If there is a family who now wants to go, contact Mrs. Bellis soon. The cost is $2700 for a double, $2500 for a triple and $2300 for a quad per person. We do have one opening for a single woman in a double room.
