
Dave Bellis
Dave Bellis was a music educator for thirty-four years serving his last 24 years at Worland High School in Worland, WY. He retired this past May and now works part time for “Educational Discovery Tours” as a Program Coordinator helping with educational travel for music groups.
Dave was selected “Wyoming Music Educator Of The Year” by the Wyoming Music Educators association and also “National Federation Music Educator Of The Year on two occasions. He received the “Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Award” as one of ten educators exhibiting excellence in Wyoming Education. Mr. Bellis has been recognized in national music education publications such as “Teaching Music”, “Band World”, and “SBO” (School Band and Orchestra) where he was featured on the cover of the magazine. Dave was also inducted into the National John Phillip Sousa Foundations “Legion Of Honor” at the Mid-West Music Educators Convention in Chicago, IL.
Dave and Dawn Bellis were the founders of the Wyoming High School All State Marching Band in 1990. The Bellis’ and fellow instructor John Aanestad have been with all nine bands over the past eighteen years.

Dawn Bellis
Dawn Bellis has been an educator for the past thirty-two years. She has been a Family and Consumer Science instructor as well as counselor at Worland High School in Worland, WY. Dawn currently is a full time counselor in one of the district’s elementary schools and Worland Middle School. In her spare time she teaches Adult Ed. Classes for Northwest College and is a swim coach for Worland Middle School and Worland High School.
Dawn has been involved as an administrator with the Wyoming HS All State Marching Band since it’s inception eighteen years ago.
